Judge Dredd is so popular in his native Britain that his name is used as a byword for the threat of a police state. The comic is incredibly ambitious, with many storylines taking place over the course of six months or more. Even more surprising, the comic takes place in real time, meaning that one year of our lives is one year in the world of Judge Dredd. The property proved so popular that the strip has run non-stop in every issue of 2000 AD ever since. The title character of the strip was a stern, no-nonsense cop living in an absolute police state. This sci-fi anthology magazine debuted in the mid-70's, and in the second issue it featured a strip called Judge Dredd. Although it was named after the restaurant, Peach Trees' notorious atrium could have been inspired by the famous PeachTree Mariott's 50-story high indoor atrium in Atlanta, Georgia.Many people don't know this, but there's more to the world of comic books than superheroes.Peach Trees was named after an English restaurant the filmmakers first ate at to discuss the film.

This would lead to her ultimate capture and sentence of death at the hands of Dredd. After making an example killing of three users she attracted the attention of Judge Dredd and the on assesment rookie Judge Cassandra Anderson. Ma-Ma then used Peachtree as the manufacture centre for a new addictive drug called Slo-Mo, which slows the user's perception of time to 1% of the normal rate. She slowly worked her way down, level by level, and wiped out the other three gangs giving her full control of the block.

After she rose from her life as a prostitute, Madeline Madrigal killed her pimp and founded her own gang, the Ma-Ma Clan, she took over the top floor penthouse of Peachtrees. Peachtrees once had three main gangs vying for control of it: the Peyote Kings, Red Dragons, and The Judged. The block is essentially a self-contained city, home to countless tens of thousands of citizens, reknown for its crime rate and unemployment of 96%. Peach Trees is a large 200 Floor arcology housing projects tower in Sector 13 of Mega-City One which was prominently featured in the 2012 film Dredd as the main setting.
